(서울=NSP통신) 허은영 기자 = Samsung Electronics has expanded its Micro RGB TV lineup, adding new sizes—55, 65, 75, 85, and 100 inches—alongside the existing 115-inch model, as it strengthens its push into the premium TV market.
Micro RGB TVs feature an RGB color backlight that uses finely arranged micro-sized RGB LEDs on the screen. A key advantage of the technology is its ability to precisely control red, green, and blue colors independently.
In particular, the product reduces the size of RGB LED chips to under 100 micrometers, enabling finer control of color and brightness while maximizing local dimming effects to enhance contrast performance.
Powered by a high-performance NPU-based Micro RGB AI Engine, the TV analyzes content in real time and offers features such as 4K AI Upscaling, which converts low-resolution content into 4K quality, as well as scene-by-scene color optimization.
In addition, the TV incorporates an AI service platform supporting Bixby, Perplexity, and Copilot, allowing users to choose and use various AI services.
A vice president of Samsung Electronics’ Visual Display Business stated, “By expanding the Micro RGB TV lineup, we aim to meet the needs of a wide range of consumers seeking the ultimate picture quality experience.”
Samsung Electronics plans to showcase its Micro RGB TVs at CES 2026 ‘The First Look’, to be held next month in Las Vegas, USA.
