[부산=NSP통신] 보티민트 인턴기자 = Just in a few days, the representative festival of South Korea(한국대표) - Jinju Namgang Yudeung Festival(진주남강유등축제) 2012 will begin. This is the festival that attracts everybody to come even if they had experienced it before or not. There are already many people waiting for the Jinju Namgang Yudeung Festival.
Now we are in Jinju to see how the festival is prepared.

[Q. Can you explain to us the special features and the program of Jinju Namgang Yudeung Festival 2012?

In previous years, the festival was held along Namgang River almost every time. This year, the main place of the festival will be inside Jinju Castle.

In the castle, there are many lanterns that display the life of the Chosun Dynasty people from 400 years ago.

When coming to the Jinju Castle, visitors from outside or from foreign countries, can see the Chosun lifestyle as the way it was.

There are many new and various events and performances that children, young people and adults can enjoy.

The stages for events and performances are also designed and decorated for everyone’s enjoyment.

Q.How is the preparation going?

Yes, now we are really busy preparing for the festival. Because of the recent storm, the schedule was delayed by about one week.

At the moment, all the work for night time is done and we are trying to finish preparing all the events in time.

Q. Do you have anything to say to the visitors that come to the festival?

Namgang Yudeung Festival has been continuously appointed as the representative festival for 2 years among 1000 festivals of South Korea.

Coming to Namgang Yudeung Festival, you can see the culture and art that represent Korea.
We will really appreciate if you enjoy the festival while understanding the contents of themes in each event.

There are many visitors from outside or from foreign countries coming to the Yudeung Festival. If we explain the content for them and together enjoy with them, the festival will be more wonderful.]

Jinju Namgang Yudeung Festival was developed from Gaecheon Art Festival since 2002. Until now, although it has been held for a decade, people are very excited and looking forward to the festival.
