(Seoul=NSP NEWS) = LG Display has received certification from UL Solutions for its new automotive OLED products under the International Automotive Cybersecurity Engineering Standard(ISO/SAE 21434).
LG Display received certification by establishing a system that included designing the display to be difficult to hack during the development stage and introducing security enhancement devices into the circuit during the production stage.
As automobiles transition to software-centric vehicles(SDVs) and mandatory security certification is becoming increasingly mandatory for the auto and parts industries, particularly in Europe, the company aims to take a proactive approach to secure market dominance and strengthen its technological leadership.
In particular, automotive displays are considered a core component connecting vehicle software and drivers. Through cybersecurity certification, they have been recognized for both their product and technological competitiveness and their stable supply capabilities.
The head of LG Display’s Auto Business Group stated, “This initiative is designed to swiftly respond to customer demands and create differentiated customer value,” adding, “Through this, we will strengthen our leading position in the premium automotive display market.”
