(Seoul=NSP NEWS) = LG Electronics is accelerating the expansion of its global ecosystem by sequentially launching its webOS-based FAST(free ad-supported streaming) service ‘LG Channel’ in the United Arab Emirates(UAE) and Taiwan.

With this expansion, the number of countries where LG Channel services are available has increased to a total of 36, including Asia, North America, Europe, Central and South America, and the Middle East and Taiwan.

LG Channel offers a wide range of content in the UAE, including regionally tailored channels like Loving Dubai and Watch It, alongside global news, sports, entertainment, movies, kids, and documentaries from sources such as Bloomberg Television and Euronews.

Reflecting the high demand for K-content in the Middle East, specialized Korean sports, music, and entertainment channels such as K-Baseball TV, Arirang TV, @K-Music, and K-ASMR will be added to the lineup to further spread the Korean Wave.

A dedicated interface reflecting the right-to-left reading direction for Arabic-speaking viewers was implemented, along with a UI tailored to local viewing environments.

Launched in 2015, LG Channel offers over 4,000 channels tailored to the tastes of each country and region, and the number of TVs equipped with webOS has exceeded 260 million worldwide.
