(Seoul=NSP NEWS) = Samsung Electronics is partnering with NVIDIA to build an industry-leading ‘semiconductor AI factory.’

The goal is to lead a shift in the global manufacturing paradigm by shortening the semiconductor development and mass production cycle and maximizing quality and efficiency through AI-based manufacturing innovation.

Samsung Electronics plans to expand its AI factory infrastructure and implement an Omniverse-based digital twin manufacturing environment by introducing more than 50,000 NVIDIA GPUs over the next several years.

AI Factory is an ‘intelligent manufacturing platform’ that learns and analyzes data in real time across the entire process such as the design, manufacturing, operation, and quality control of semiconductors, and applies AI to all areas of semiconductor production.

Through this collaboration, Samsung Electronics will supply next-generation memory and foundry services to NVIDIA, including HBM3E, HBM4, GDDR7, and SOCAMM2.

Samsung Electronics also introduced NVIDIA's AI computing technologies"cuLitho"and"CUDA-X"into its manufacturing process, improving simulation speed by 20 times and enhancing design accuracy. Through this, the company is implementing a ‘thinking factory’ that corrects microprocessing errors in real time.

In the future, AI factory infrastructure will expand beyond Korea to major overseas production bases, such as Taylor in the United States, leading to the intelligence of the global supply chain.
