(Seoul=NSP NEWS) = LG Electronics is launching ‘LG StandbyME 2’ in the global market, continuing its strong domestic sales overseas.

LG will launch LG StandbyMe 2 in Hong Kong and Turkuye, followed by the U.S., Canada, Vietnam and Singapore in July, and the U.K., Germany, France and Spain in August, expanding the portable screen market to major countries around the world.

LG StandbyMe2 was first released in the Korean market last February and has been gaining popularity. In the first live broadcast held immediately after the release, the initial stock of over 1,000 units was sold out in 38 minutes. Until recently, sales of StandbyMe2 in the five months since its release were approximately four times that of its predecessor. With this overseas release, LG Electronics plans to continue the domestic sales momentum in strategic overseas markets.

StandbyMe2 can be used in various ways, such as by easily separating the screen from the stand with one button without any complicated process such as unscrewing screws, and placing it on a table or hanging it like a picture frame. In particular, it is equipped with a 27-inch QHD(2560x1440) high-resolution touch display and can be used for up to 4 hours without connecting to a power source thanks to its high-capacity battery.

It is also equipped with LG Electronics' differentiated smart TV platform, webOS. You can enjoy OTT and cloud games comfortably, and you can also watch webtoons and short-form content by turning the screen vertically.
