(Seoul=NSP NEWS) = SK Telecom had a meeting with IonQ(CEO Nicolo de Massy, ​​hereinafter referred to as IonQ), a quantum computer company in the U.S., to discuss cooperation between the two companies in the quantum business. The meeting was held at T Tower in Euljiro, Seoul, to discuss further cooperation between the two companies.

Through this meeting, SKT and IonQ once again confirmed that both companies have the same interest in areas such as quantum networking and quantum security.

In addition, based on the cooperation between the two companies, the possibility of expanding SKT’s partnerships with various government agencies and companies related to quantum security business to quantum computers was also examined.

SKT and IonQ have agreed to maintain and strengthen their cooperation with ID Quantique. Ltd(IDQ) regarding quantum security.

“Our collaboration with IonQ is an opportunity for SKT to expand our business to quantum computers as well as quantum security,” said Yoo Young-young, CEO of SKT. ”We will continue to invest and collaborate to lead the market.”
