Kakao Games Emphasizes Efforts to Enter Chinese Market, Expands Global Reach with Focus on North America and Europe

(Seoul=NSP NEWS) = Kakao Games held a conference call in conjunction with its 2024 earnings announcement, during which CEO Han Sang-woo, known for his expertise in the Chinese market, expressed the company's strong commitment to entering China this year.

Han stated,"In the past, opportunities were limited due to regulatory challenges and the political landscape surrounding the gaming industry in China. However, recent regulatory shifts have opened up new possibilities for launching new titles."He further emphasized,"We plan to actively pursue entry into the Chinese market this year through multiple attempts. We're currently discussing publishing rights internally and expect to share details on which games will be released in China soon."

Regarding global expansion, Han highlighted that the company's primary focus would be on North America and Europe. He explained,"At the same time, we are preparing lineups tailored to the specific requirements and markets in Asia, including China and Japan."

Additionally, Kakao Games announced its plans to conduct a CBT for Chrono Odyssey in the first half of this year. The company is also running a small-scale private user test for ArcheAge Chronicles, expected to take place in April.

Beyond this project, Kakao Games is gearing up to launch a diverse range of games across various platforms and genres, including Section 13, Project Q, Goddess Order, Project C, and SM Game Station (tentative title).
