(Seoul=NSP NEWS) = LG Electronics has completed the expansion of four research buildings at LG Science Park in Gangseo-gu, Seoul.

As a result, the number of LG Electronics research buildings in LG Science Park has increased to 10(W1 to W10), and about 10,000 domestic R&D personnel will gather to take charge of global R&D control towers that create synergy.

The LG Electronics Research Building in LG Science Park has a total gross floor area of 125,000 square meters and a site area of 21,000 square meters, making it the largest single-company R&D center in Seoul.

LG Electronics has also expanded the 100-person LG Magok Daycare Center to ensure that employees moving to the new research building do not face childcare difficulties due to a change in work location. With this expansion, the total number of research buildings in LG Science Park has increased from 22 to 26.

LG Science Park covers more than 170,000 square meters(about 54,000 square feet), the size of 24 soccer fields, and is the largest convergence research complex in Korea.

A total of 25,000 people work there, including affiliated companies such as LG Electronics, LG Display, LG Innotek, LG Chem, LG Energy Solution, LG Household & Health Care, and LG Uplus, as well as partners and startups.
