(Seoul=NSP NEWS AGENCY) = LG Chem announced on the 29th that it opened the American CS Center(Customer Solution Center) in Ravenna, Ohio, USA on the 28th(Korean time).

The American CS Center has been built in Ohio, U.S.A., from September 2021 with an investment of about KRW 70 billion, with three floors and a total floor area of about 8,300 square meters(about 2,500pyeong), and is equipped with equipment at the level of customers’ mass production facilities such as extrusion and injection.

The CS Center is a specialized customer support organization that provides comprehensive technical solutions for customers and partners, including product development, quality improvement, and productivity improvement.

With the completion of the CS Center, LG Chem plans to accelerate its local market penetration through synergies with its North American ABS compound plant, which began full-scale operation in Ohio in May.

The highly functional plastic ABS(Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is mainly used for automotive parts and construction and decoration materials.

With the opening of the Americas CS Center, LG Chem has completed a global customer support 4-way system spanning Korea(Osan)- China(Huadong, Huaina) - Europe(Germany) - the United States(Ohio), strengthening close support at the closest points to customers around the world.
