QCELLS will provide at least 1.5 GW of modules and EPC services per year for eight years, from 2025 to 2032, for the solar farms where Microsoft will purchase power.

This contract is a follow-up contract that expands the strategic partnership signed between the two companies in January 2023, and the total size has increased significantly from the original 2.5GW to 12GW.

12GW is enough to generate electricity used by approximately 1.8 million households in the United States, accounting for approximately 60% of the capacity of newly installed solar power generation facilities(approximately 21GW) across the United States in 2022.
