Korean Air, Ordering 20 More A321neo Aircraft

(Seoul=NSP NEWS AGENCY) = Korean Air recently announced that it signed a contract to order 20 additional Airbus A321neo aircraft.

With this, Korean Air’s A321neo aircraft will increase to 50. Korean Air’s A321neo aircraft is a 182-seat narrow-body(single-aisle) small aircraft equipped with eight prestige seats that spread out over 180 degrees.

It is also the first airline in Asia to feature Airspace interior, Airbus’ Airspace cabin interior brand, as well as a range of comfort features such as in-flight Wi-Fi.

Currently, Korean Air has received 8 of the 50 A321neos ordered and is deploying them on short- and medium-distance routes to Southeast Asia, China, and Japan starting in December 2022.

Meanwhile, Korean Air continues to modernize its aircraft to ensure safe operations. Including this additional order of 20 A321neo units, it plans to introduce a total of 110 new aircraft, including 10 Boeing 787-9s, 20 Boeing 787-10s, and 30 Boeing 737-8s. At the same time, the company plans to gradually retire older aircraft, including six A330s and six Boeing 777-200ERs, to actively modernize its aircraft.
