DL Chemical to acquire global petrochemical company US Kraton for $1.6 billion

On the 27th, DL Chemical held a board meeting and decided to acquire an 100% stake in U.S. chemicals company Kraton Corp. at $46.5 per share for a total of $1.6 billion (about 1.8 trillion won).

Last year, it raised $1.563 billion in revenue and $262 million adjusted EBITDA. Styrene Block Copolymer (SBC) is he main product of the Kraton Polymer business and it has the largest market share in the US and Europe.

With this acquisition, DL Chemical has become the No. 1 SBC manufacturer in the U.S. and Europe, and the largest one of the biochemical companies as they succeeded in diversifying its business portfolio.
