Korea post, made agreement on Korea-Europe 'eParcel'

(Seoul=NSP News Agency) Hanah Choi Journalist = As early as April, logistical costs for Europe of global e-commerce small and mid-size businesses is expected to cut down 35%.

Korea post made agreement for adoption of Korea-Europe Post express service(eParcel) at Paris on the 23th (Korea time) and agreed to implement full service from April.

Korea-Europe eParcel is a new logistic service using Europe logistic hub(CDG Hub) located in Paris, France.

It is one or two days slower than existing international Express Mail Service(EMS), but it is 35 % cheaper.

Targets are companies which sell goods weighing less than 30kg on-line.

When e-commerce product is sent from Kora to France, it is delivered after collective customs clearance for Europe area in Paris.

Customs clearance is faster since customs clearance is processed in advance before arriving at France.
