Samsung will release ‘SLEEPsense’ at IFA 2015

(Seoul=NSP News Agency) Jiye Kim Journalist = Samsung will reveal its new IoT-enabled sleep tracker ‘SLEEPsense’, which monitors and analyses user’s sleeping condition to ensure sound sleep. It will be unveiled on September 4 at IFA 2015, the world’s leading trade show for consumer electronics and home appliances in Berlin, Germany.

SLEEPsense tracks user’s sleeping patterns and sleeping quality in real time so that it could guide healthful sleep. Furthermore, based on the data, it can interwork with other connected devices such as air conditioner, TV, audio system, and electric lights in order to provide optimal conditions for user’s sleep.

About a centimeter thick, this slim device is to detect and examine user’s pulse, breath as well as movement by simply placed under the mattress.

Meanwhile, Samsung collaborates with a research team led by S. Mantzoros at Harvard medical school, allowing SLEEPsense users to get tailored advice from healthcare professionals to improve the quality of sleep.
Samsung SLEEPsense is scheduled to be released later this year in South Korea and other countries.
