(Seoul=NSP NEWS AGENCY) = SK Signet will supply fast chargers to the electric vehicle charging station site selected for the NEVI program in Ohio, being built by Francis Energy, the fourth largest fast charging operator in the United States.

At this charging station, which will receive subsidies from the U.S. National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure(NEVI) Formula Program, SK Signet’s first fast charger that meets NEVI standards will be installed.

Production in the US is a prerequisite for the NEVI programme grant, and SK SIGNET’s Texas plant has been in mass production since July last year and is currently capable of producing 10,000 ultra-fast chargers per year.

SK SIGNET’s fast charger for the Ohio charging station is a 400kW unit with an efficient configuration that meets stringent NEVI standards and can be fully charged in 18 minutes.

In July last year, SK SIGNET signed a long-term contract with Francis Energy to supply at least 1,000 400kW ultra-fast chargers for five years until 2027. The two companies plan to continue their long-term partnership in the future, including this project in Ohio.
