(서울=NSP통신) soon ki Lee Journali = SK Telecom will start its world’s first 5G roaming service with Swisscom in Switerland from 00:00 p.m.
(Korean time) on July 17, 2019.

The 5G roaming by SK Telecom and Swisscom is the result of test for commercializing the ongoing 5G roaming
service after both companies signed a strategic partnership in May, 2019.

Unlike LTE roaming service, there were not many countries that have commercialized 5G globally. The reason is that there have been no commercialized regions where businesses from around the world provide 5G service in various frequency bands, and that the terminals that accept multiple frequencies have not been released.

If SK Telecom users use roaming service in Switzerland, they will be able to use a variety of 5G services such as AR and VR as well as streaming services such as YouTube and Oksusu.
