(Seoul=NSP News Agency) Jiye Kim Journalist = Korean pizza giant Mr. Pizza achieved its highest sales records in China, thanks largely to the increased demands during China’s National Day.

MPK group, the owner company of Mr. Pizza revealed on October 8 that the restaurant’s sales records in China had marked 2.8billion won (9,438,000 yuan) for only a week of national holiday from October1 to 7. This is a notable record, which increased by 60 percent over the same period last year.

Nine branches with sales of over 60 million won (320,000 yuan) are situated in the main cities of the country, except Beijing Xidan branch. Taiyuan store set the highest record, with sales of 90 million won (490,000 yuan).

“The major national holidays in China have brought a sudden surge in sales.” MPK official announced, “The group is anticipating 100 billion won in sales until the end of this year.”
