Hyundai Motor's global brand value rose to $15.2 billion

(Seoul=NSP News Agency) danbi kim Journalist = Hyundai Motor Company ranked 35th in the Best Global Brands 2021, which was announced by Interbrand, a global brand consulting firm. The ranking has been one step higher than last year in the overall ranking.

The brand value reached $15.2 billion, which is increased by approximately 6% year-on-year.

Since Hyundai Motor was first listed in the Top 100 Global Brands in 2005, the company has taken rank with major global brands every year. As achieving 49 places in the brand ranking and a brand value of $11.7 billion, there has been a remarkable growth (84th in the brand ranking, $3.5 billion in brand value 2005).

Despite the global economic slowdown from COVID-19 this year, the company strengthened its brand competitiveness through lavish investments on the future mobility business. Therefore, the company could enter the top 30 of the comprehensive brand rankings for seven consecutive

Moreover, Hyundai Motor Company is expanding its position in the global electric vehicle market based on its future-oriented design and cutting-edge technology for its exclusive electric vehicle, the Ioniq 5. In addition, the IONIQ 5 surpassed BMW and Audi electric vehicles to take first place overall in the comparative evaluation of compact crossover electric vehicles conducted by the German automobile magazine ‘Auto Zeitung’. So the company can show its high product competitiveness.
